About
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Circuits and System Society (IEEE- CAS) has taken part in the development of its members in the areas of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The IEEE Circuits and System Society student branch at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus pursues the growth and improvement of students that seek to study in the area of Circuits and Systems. Our organization does not only hope to do our best for the future Electrical Engineers, but we provide the same amount of help to our students that follow the path of other Engineering branches. We will strive to seek new candidates and provide the help required to prepare them for their future tasks as Engineers. At the IEEE Circuits and System, we do not focus only on developing brighter students; we provide them with the necessary tools and experience to help them grow into future professionals and responsible leaders. This we achieve through our seminars, technical sessions, distinguished lecturers, workshops, and by promoting the participation of the students on the society’s board.
Mission
Our mission is to foster CAS members across disciplines to address humanity’s
grand challenges by conceiving and pioneering solutions to fundamental and applied
problems in circuits and systems.
Vision
The IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CAS) believe that the Grand Engineering Challenges of the 21stcentury can only be addressed in an interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary manner. The Society’s unique and profound expertise in Circuits and Systems, Signals, Modeling, Analysis and Design can have a decisive impact on important issues such as Sustainable Energy, Bio-Health, Green Information Technology, Nano-Technology, and Scalable Information Technology Systems.
